Prism Medical recognizes that having the right equipment, properly installed, is only one part of injury prevention. Our equipment and repositioning aids are only as good as the people who use them. That is why we don't consider our job finished until you are comfortable with your equipment and are using it safely and with confidence.

At Prism Medical we understand that you and the person you are caring for are unique. We specialize in tailoring training programs to every need. We will work with you to make sure training sessions are appropriate to your needs, and are scheduled to be convenient. Training will proceed according to your pace.

To move or reposition someone safely, even with the right equipment, it is important to adhere to the principles of good body mechanics. Equipment can only do so much. Using that equipment properly, according to proper ergonomic and the principles of good body mechanics, is essential to reducing the risk of back and other muscular related injuries. Prism Medical's experienced trainers make sure you understand what good body mechanics means, what the principles involved are, and how that applies to moving and handling and transferring the person you are caring for.
